A cocaine dealer serving a nine-year sentence has been ordered to pay back more than £12,000.
Lee Nevard was locked up last January after admitting possessing cocaine with intent to supply, possessing a firearm, possessing a stun gun and money laundering.
It followed a raid on his home in Sandringham Drive, Dartford, in September 2015 when officers found large quantities of the Class A drugs hidden in a tumble dryer, a loaded handgun, a stun gun, and £10,000 in cash.
The 36-year-old was jailed for nine years and three months.
Financial investigators from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate examined Nevard’s criminal earnings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
Following a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court last week he was ordered to pay back £12,681.
Detective Inspector Annie Clayton, of the Serious Economic Crime Unit, said: "The work of officers doesn’t stop following the conclusion of a criminal case.
"Where possible, our financial investigators will try to recoup the proceeds of any criminal activity so offenders don’t continue to benefit from their illegal dealings once they’ve been released from prison."
