Mike Coleman won the Dartford Half-Marathon on Sunday after breaking the 70-minute barrier.
The Medway and Maidstone AC runner headed a record entry of 800 runners in warm and breezy conditions with a time of 69 minutes 33 seconds.
Defending champion Peter Tucker, of Blackheath and Bromley, was a minute in arrears at the finish line in Central Park, clocking 70.30.
In third place, a further 47 seconds in arrears, was Gareth Price, of Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers, who crossed the line in 71.17.
Medway & Maidstone won the men’s team prize.
The age group winners in the men’s race were - M40: Andrew Green (77.13) of Dartford Harriers; M50: Peter Brown (85.42) of Steel City Striders; and M60: Pat Dobbs (96.41) of Thurrock Harriers.
Lauren Stewart (80.45) of Woodford Green and Essex Ladies won a quality women’s race from Maxine McKinnon (83.43) of Dianium and former winner Tina Oldershaw (W40, 85.17) of Paddock Wood.
The age group winners were - W35: Sarah Maguire (88.41) of Canterbury Harriers; W45: Sharon Hawkins (86.39) of Maidstone Harriers; and W55: Alison Jelly (1.53.55) of Folkestone.
Swanley & District took the honours in the women’s team race through Michelle De Kisshazy (W45, 1.42.38), Sally Kyle (W35, 1.44.27), Jane Blackmore (W45, 1.44.57) and Caroline Burley (W45, 1.47.22).
