A crash in London has caused congestion all the way back to Dartford.

London-bound traffic on the A2 was backed up to Dartford Heath after a motorbike was involved in a collision with a car near Eltham at 5.30 this morning.

Police closed the section of the road at the Danson interchange in Bexleyheath while officers examined the scene.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s was taken to a London hospital with a suspected broken leg.

Police re-opened the road a short time ago.
