FIRE damaged an unoccupied council house in Willow Road, Dartford, in the early hours of this morning.

Firefighters were called to the property shortly after midnight following reports that a pile of rubbish which had caught alight behind the house and had spread to the interior.

Five per cent damage was caused to the property’s kitchen and considerable damage was caused by smoke. Police officers were also called to the scene.
