A man who allegedly assaulted ASDA workers before stealing alcohol will appear in court today.

Police arrested Joseph Smith, of Hilltop Gardens, Dartford, yesterday after the incident at the London Road store at around 11.45pm last Tuesday.

The 23-year-old was charged the same day with robbery and remanded in custody.

He is set to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
