Drivers are facing delays after a multi-vehicle crash in one of the tunnels at the Dartford Crossing.

The east-bore tunnel has been closed following the crash which happened shortly before 4pm.

The emergency services were called to the scene but it is not though anyone has been seriously injured.

Delays are already stretching back well past J2, the A2 Darenth Interchange on the anti-clockwise M25 approach.

According to KCC Highways, who tweeted about the incident earlier, a recovery lorry is on route to remove the damage vehicles.

Drivers are being told to expect long delays in the area.
