Two westbound lanes of the Dartford Tunnel were closed this morning following a collision involving multiple vehicles.

Highways England was on the scene and a recovery effort was quickly under way, with congestion stretching between junctions 3 and 1 of the M25.

It happened at about 9.25am. Recovery is now complete and the lanes are all open but some delays are expected, Highways England tweeted.

Drivers were advised to approach the traffic with caution and allow extra time for their journey.
