Firefighters were called to a vehicle fire in London Road, Greenhithe, this afternoon.

Witnesses reported hearing loud bangs after the blaze was reported at around 3.23pm.

The car was well alight when two crews arrived.

No casualties were reported and the cause is not yet known.

The situation was under control by 3.52pm.
