Traffic was temporarily held on the approach to the Dartford Crossing following reports of an accident involving multiple vehicles.

The incident took place on the M25 clockwise at Junction 1B.

There is congestion building back over the Dartford Crossing towards Essex.

Traffic has now been released past the scene.

Two lanes on the exit slip road were closed due to a vehicle blocking both lanes – all lanes have now re-opened.

Police have been contacted for more information.
