Dartford suffered a disappointing home defeat against fellow strugglers Thurrock at Princes Park on Saturday and are now only out of the Blue Square South relegation zone on goal difference.
The hosts barely created a chance of note and Matt Bodkin slotted the only goal of the game for the visitors 22 minutes from time to silence the majority of the 1,020 crowd and boost the Essex side's survival prospects.
It was Thurrock's first clean sheet of the season and came after they conceded 13 goals in their previous two games.
The defeat - Darts' fourth consecutive loss by a single goal - means Tony Burman's (pictured) side have not won at home in the league since early September.
