Charlie Sheringham opens the scoring for Dartford Picture: Nick Johnson
Dartford made it three wins from three with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Hampton & Richmond to go top of Blue Square Bet South.
The Darts were unchanged at Princes Park and were ahead within 12 minutes when skipper Elliot Bradbrook was brought down trying to get on the end of a Ryan Hayes free-kick, with Charlie Sheringham (pictured) sending the keeper the wrong way from the spot for his fourth goal of the new season.
It became 2-0 from the first corner of the game on 20 minutes, Hayes' deep cross was nodded back across goal by Tom Bonner for Bradbrook to knock in at the far post.
The visitors pulled one back almost immediately through Jacob Erskine moments later, the former Gillingham player poking home after a long-ball was knocked down to him as the Darts went to sleep.
Hayes saw a shot deflected wide before Sheringham saw a shot headed off the line after rounding the keeper and sent another shot straight at the visiting keeper.
After the break Hayes fired Sheringham's cut-back over the bar before Erskine rattled the crossbar with a fine free-kick.
Paul Goodacre saw a header from a set-piece cleared off the line and Lee Burns saw a header saved by the keeper, who also denied Sheringham from the penalty spot in the dying moments after being harshly adjudged to have brought down the Darts man.
