Tony Burman blamed a poor second half display as the reason why Dartford face an FA Trophy third round replay next Tuesday.
The Darts were pegged by twice by Ryman League Wealdstone at Princes Park on Tuesday night and boss Burman admitted: "We were excellent for the first 35 minutes, but then Wealdstone had a 10-minute spell leading to the equaliser.
"At 2-1 up we went a bit gun-ho, when we needed to play with a bit more caution.
"I didn't think we played particularly well in the second half, and were a little all over the place at times. We weren't as organised as we usually are."
Dartford lost skipper Elliot Bradbrook with a hamstring injury, but recovered to lead just before the half-hour when Danny Harris (pictured) netted after visiting keeper Jonathan North had kept out Jacob Erskine's shot.
But Richard Jolly's header put Wealdstone level on the stroke of half-time.
Substitute Lee Noble restored Dartford's lead six minutes after the break with a deflected effort but, 10 minutes from time, Chris O'Leary blasted home.
