Dartford emerged victorious from an epic FA Cup struggle with Canvey Island on Tuesday night but boss Tony Burman was far from delirious.
The Darts won the third qualifying round replay 9-8 on penalties and Burman conceded his side were "lucky" to have got through.
A nervy night at Princes Park on Tuesday saw the Darts leading 3-1 at one stage before Canvey hit back to take the tie to extra time and eventually penalties.
Canvey, from the Ryman League Premier Division, had gone ahead in the match through Frank Everett on Tuesday but goals from Danny Harris and Carl Rook, who scored after Ryan Hayes' penalty was saved, put the Darts into a 2-1 half-time lead.
Paul Goodacre made it 3-1 to Burman's men before Canvey stormed back into the match through two Alex Rhodes goals.
The Darts were on the verge of being eliminated at the sudden-death shoot-out stage but a great save from Andrew Young (pictured) from Matt Game kept them in the tie.
A miss from Canvey's tenth penalty, taken by Jason Hallett, handed Dartford the victory.
