Dartford moved a step closer to achieving boss Tony Burman’s target of a top-10 Blue Square Bet South finish with victory over Woking at Princes Park on Saturday.
The home side stunned Woking with three goals in four minutes during a memorable first half in which the visitors also scored and both teams missed penalties.
Woking were the first to miss from the spot through Elvis Hammond after Elliot Bradbrook was harshly adjudged to have handled the ball in the box.
Darts were then awarded a penalty, after Lee Noble was pushed in the area, but Charlie Sheringham (pictured) put his effort wide.
Woking broke the deadlock when a long-range Andy Burgess free-kick dipped over Darts keeper Andy Young and into the net on the half-hour mark.
Darts started their fightback with Bradbrook heading the ball into the net to level the scores on 38 minutes.
Lee Burns then found Jack Pallen and he picked out Sheringham who scored on 40 minutes to put Darts in front.
Sheringham and Pallen then combined again with the latter this time getting on the scoresheet two minutes later.
Woking were reduced to 10 men after the break when Adam Doyle was dismissed following a second yellow card.
And Dartford missed the chance to get a fourth when James Rogers missed from three yards out.
Craig Dobson scored from the penalty spot for Woking to ensure a nervy final six minutes for Tony Burman’s side.
