Princes Park is fast becoming a fortress for Dartford after they thrashed Hereford on Saturday to record their fourth consecutive home win.
Tony Burman’s newly-promoted side are the form team in Blue Square Bet Premier and they have moved to within two points of the play-off spots.
A crowd of 1,601 – Dartford’s biggest of the season so far – saw Elliot Bradbrook hit the post before the home side struck on six minutes. Harry Crawford’s shot was charged down and Ryan Hayes fired the ball beyond Hereford keeper Dan Hanford from the edge of the box.
It stayed 1-0 until half-time but the Darts doubled their lead less than a minute after the restart. Hayes delivered an inviting cross and James Rogers, pictured, was on hand to head home from close range.
Two substitutes added extra gloss to the scoreline late on. Danny Harris had been on the pitch for just three minutes when he curled the ball into the top corner for Dartford’s third.
Then, Jon Wallis made it 4-0 a minute from time when his free-kick from 30 yards bounced in front of Hanford and ended up in the back of the net.
