Harry Crawford hit a hat-trick as Dartford put Alfreton to the sword at Princes Park.
The home side, buoyed with confidence after winning twice over the Bank Holiday weekend, were excellent value for their third straight win in Blue Square Bet Premier.
It took only 11 minutes for the opening goal to arrive. Crawford burst past his man and lashed a shot beyond Alfreton keeper Jon Stewart.
Dartford survived a scare when Richard Rose cleared a header off the line but three goals in 11 minutes either side of half-time put the game to bed.
Jacob Erskine made it 2-0 on 37 minutes. The striker collected Mark Arber’s long ball, spun his defender and found the bottom corner with a precise shot.
There was still time for a third goal before the interval, Elliot Bradbrook heading home from a Ryan Hayes corner.
Three minutes after the restart, Bradbrook headed another Hayes cross goalwards and Crawford was on hand to apply the finishing touch.
For all their promising play, Alfreton looked toothless in attack. They did pull a goal back on 80 minutes when Danny Meadows’ shot went in via the post, but this was to be Crawford’s day.
Three minutes later, the 20-year-old latched onto a ball over the top and beat Stewart at the second attempt to complete his treble.
