Dartford face four games in eight days as boss Tony Burman looks to claim the prestige of being England’s best part-time team.

The Darts sit 10th in Blue Square Bet Premier with every one of the teams above them operating on a full-time basis.

Burman’s side have exceeded all expectations to reach their current standing and after achieving their main aim – to steer clear of relegation – the Darts are now on another quest in their final six games.

Burman said: "Our next aim is the little competition between the part-time clubs and we want to finish top of the pile.

"There is a gulf between part-time and those full-time clubs and it has been tough, particularly with the weather we have had this season. Clubs have struggled."

Woking are the closest part-time team to the Darts, sitting behind them on goal difference and smarting from a 4-1 defeat that Burman’s men handed out on Monday.

Braintree, Hyde and Alfretron are among the others fighting against the full-time elite at the top of the non-league pyramid.

Dartford travel to already-relegated AFC Telford on Saturday. James Rogers (ill) could be back for the weekend but Tom Champion is suspended for the next two.
