Dartford boss Tony Burman is looking short-term when it comes to setting targets for the remainder of the Blue Square Bet South season, despite rising to their highest league placing of the campaign so far.

Darts beat Basingstoke on Tuesday to make it one defeat in 10 league games and climb up to 13th.

However, Burman (pictured) refused to reveal whether his side were targeting a top-10 finish or even a late play-off push.

He said: "We have just got to keep plodding along and picking up points. There are 13 games to go and a lot of points to play for.

"Some of the sides above us have played a few more games so it would be good to catch them but I will keep our targets to myself."

"The only target I’ll reveal at the moment is to get to 40 points, which is four more. If we get that, then we can look at getting to 50."

Dartford are now 11 points clear of Maidenhead who visit Princes Park on Saturday.

Burman said: "We have not fared so well against the bottom three at home but hopefully we have learned the lessons from the Hampton game (which the Darts lost 4-0 at Princes Park last month)."

Billy Burgess (ankle) will be assessed ahead of the game while James White and Adam Burchell come return.
