Michael Saunders is celebrating a first after staging a successful defence of his Watson Trophy to win the event twice for Dartford Golf Club.

Saunders won the competition, an event for Kent club champions only, by one shot from Bruce Galbraith (Mid-Kent) and Daniel Byrne (Dartford).

Forty golfers battled for honours at the Dartford club, including England player Max Orrin (North Foreland) and Danny Holmes (Langley Park) – a former champion and recent winner of the Hinge Trophy and National Logan Trophy in 2010.
