Dartford boss Tony Burman wants his team to break their Blue Square Bet Premier duck when they travel to Macclesfield on Saturday.

Darts have failed to register a point from their opening two games following their promotion, going down 3-2 at home to Tamowrth on Saturday and then losing a controversial match 1-0 at Woking on Tuesday night.

Lee Noble will be banned after his dismissal on Tuesday meaning Jon Wallis could come in to Burman's side.

Burman said: "It will be tough up there. We’ll go there and try to win and hopefully we can get off the mark.

"We have no points but it could quite easily have been four already. You don’t care how the points come, so long as they do."

Burman said he felt sorry for his players after the late defeat at Woking.

Darts were aggrieved after Noble saw red for a second booking just after the half-hour, despite appearing to be fouled in the build-up himself in the lead-up and then eight minutes from time, Giuseppe Sole converted a penalty awarded when forward Loick Pires went down easily under pressure, seemingly just outside the box.

There were fiery scenes before and after, with keeper Louis Wells kicking the ball away and Sole then confronting the stopper after converting, with a subsequent shoving match seeing Woking supporters become involved.

Burman said: "Louis kicked the ball away out of frustration. The guy then took his frustration out by going up in Louis’ face. Neither should have done it.

"Then there’s the frustration of it being a penalty that’s not a penalty and people do strange things in the heat of the moment.

"I hope the referee and the linesman watch the video back. I’m sure they are good officials but they’ve got it wrong and it’s cost us."
