Dartford could emerge from the hectic Easter period as Ryman League Premier Division champions but boss Tony Burman isn’t taking anything for granted.

If the Darts win their matches, and their rivals Kingstonian and Sutton United drop points then it could be a weekend to remember for Burman’s men.

Saturday’s 4-3 win over Hastings left the Darts with a 10-point cushion at the top but Burman doesn’t want to rely on others slipping up to finally seal the title.

Burman (pictured) said: "We’ve said all along that we don’t want to be relying on others to be losing or winning, we want to do it ourselves and we’re getting close to the finishing line now.

"We’re not there yet and we just need to concentrate on these last few hurdles. With the next two games coming up this week, we could come out of it with smiling faces.

"There are still a lot of ifs and buts and we’ve got to concentrate on one game at a time."

Burman’s men have a trip to lowly Waltham Abbey on Saturday and a Bank Holiday fixture at Princes Park against Canvey.

He said: "We know near enough what we need to do and in each game we just need to stick the ball in the back of the net more times than they put it in ours. We can’t complicate things, we just need to try and get the results we need and move onto the next game."
