Tony Burman admits he and his players are still coming to terms with life in Blue Square Bet South three months into the new season.
The Dartford boss takes his team to Woking on Saturday looking for a second successive away league win after breaking their duck at Dover earlier this month.
He said: "This league is tough. We are still learning about it and might have done so quicker.
"Results are so indifferent. One point is decent but three are even better."
Woking have lost only three times in their last 12 games and took League 1 leaders Brighton to a replay in their FA Cup first round tie before going out on penalties.
They won 2-1 at Dover themselves in the FA Trophy last weekend and Burman said: "That was a good result for them and there is certainly all to play for."
Burman has allowed Ollie Berquez and Lee Noble to join Essex clubs Billericay and Concord respectively on a month’s loan.
He said: "They have been overlooked for first-team selection because we have been playing with a similar side.
"Ollie and Lee are both fit but need games and this will help their match fitness."
