Dartford striker Charlie Sheringham has completed his move to League 1 side AFC Bournemouth.
Darts chairman Bill Archer confirmed on Thursday morning with 'mixed emotions' that the deal the 23-year-old had gone through.
A statement on Dartford's website said: "We will be very sad to see Charlie go as he was a vital part of our push for promotion, on the other hand we are a progressive club and would not stand in the way of a player obtaining his potential.
"Everyone at the club wishes him good luck in the future."
No fee was given for the deal but a figure of £25,000 was being rumoured earlier this week.
Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury said: "This is a good signing for us. He is a good player with good movement and he's scored lots of goals. He ticks all the boxes for what we are looking for.
"He is stepping up in to training, with quality players that we have, and with it being full-time that can only be of benefit to him."
Bradbury confirmed he was looking to get his new recruit involved in the Bournemouth squad for Saturday's home game against Bury.
Sheringham’s form this season had attracted the attentions of numerous Football League clubs.
His departure leaves Darts boss Tony Burman with the task of replacing a player who has netted 12 goals already this season.
Welling’s Andy Pugh and Tonbridge’s Frannie Collin sit alongside Sheringham in the Blue Square Bet South scoring charts, while Tom Bradbrook, the brother of Darts skipper Elliot, has earned rave reviews at Ryman League, Premier Division Margate.
