Dartford v Harlow

Dartford make a long awaited return to Princes Park on Saturday and face a rejuvenated Harlow team.

The Essex side appointed Glen Alzapiedi as manager before last weekend’s home clash with AFC Hornchurch and the move paid off as they ended a seven game losing streak and won 4-1.

Tony Burman’s Dartford side have played their last four league games away from home. Their last game at Princes Park was a 1-0 win over Hendon on Decmeber 6.

The Darts boss is well aware of the impact Alzapiedi has had since joining Harlow. He recently quit Ware and has taken several of those players with him.

Burman said: “Harlow have had a poor time recently but they’ve just changed their manager and they got a great result on Saturday beating Hornchurch, who aren’t a bad side themselves.

“They will be a completely different side to the one we played earlier in the season and, with a new manager, the players will be putting in a performance in the next three or four games and hopefully they won’t on Saturday.

“They’ve signed a few players from Ware and if we want to stay involved in the top half of the table we have to be confident of winning on Saturday.”

Facing his former side could be Scott Holding, who was signed from Harlow by Burman on Christmas Eve, as cover for suspended Adam Gross.

“It’s just a short term thing to help out but you never know what could happen,” said Burman.

Grays defender Gross is expected to be re-signed by Burman today (Friday) for another month on loan. James White returns after completing his suspension and Jamie Coyle is expected to feature if he’s recovered from illness.
