Manager Tony Burman says he can handle the negativity of some sections of Dartford supporters and said there would be unrest in some quarters even if they were top of Blue Square Bet South.
Saturday’s 1-0 defeat against struggling Thurrock at Princes Park was the Darts’ fourth loss in a row and some sections of support voiced their disatisfaction at the final whistle.
Burman, who led his side to the Ryman League title just eight months ago, says he’d rather the fans turn their angst on him than on his players.
He said: "We have to stay positive and stick together and try to keep the negative vibes out of our minds.
"You’ll always get the odd people who like to have a moan and there were some shouting negative things at the players and at me – I’d like them to shout it all at me and give the players encouragement.
"A lot of the people that are saying the negative things would still be doing it if we were top of the league. Some people just like to be negative.
"They are entitled to their say and to be fair we are on the back of four straight defeats now but in football you can be God one minute and the Devil the next."
