A man has been bailed after an accident claimed the life of a football manager's father.

Sussex Police confirmed they had arrested and bailed a local man in connection with the death of William Daish, father of Ebbsfleet United's manager, Liam Daish.

Mr Daish, 70, died after the car he was driving to work was struck by bales of straw that fell off a tractor travelling in the opposite direction.

The man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, but later bailed until January 9.
