Delays on A2 between M25 and B255 following collision involving motorbike and two cars

A motorcyclist has been flown to hospital after a collision between a bike and two cars.

Traffic is slowly clearing after the A2 coastbound between the M25 near Darenth, Dartford, and B255 near Bean was closed just after 5.20pm.

Police, ambulance and air ambulance were called to the scene.

The road has now reopened but traffic is still moving slowly, drivers are warned.

Congestion was previously reported to be backing up as far as Bexley.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to a report of a collision involving a motorbike and two cars on the A2 shortly after 5.20pm.

“Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance and the motorcyclist was flown to a London hospital.

“The carriageway was closed while the incident was responded to but reopened shortly after 7pm.”
