Drivers faced long delays on the M20 after a crane hit a bridge yesterday evening.
Two lanes remained closed this morning on the London-bound side of the motorway between Junction 3 for Wrotham and Junction 1 for Swanley, but have since reopened.
National Highways said a crane had "struck a bridge" just before 8am yesterday.
The M20 was then closed between the two junctions whilst recovery was arranged.
Police and the fire service were also called to help deal with a fuel spillage.
One lane reopened just after midnight.
National Highways updated motorists this morning, saying two of three lanes would remain closed for emergency repair works.
The collision resulted in damage to the road surface on the inside two lanes, which needed to be resurfaced.
At 8.16am, National Highways tweeted to say the repairs had been completed.
All lanes are now open, however there are still delays of 10 minutes on the approach.
