Delays on A2 after three-car crash near Pepperhill hit Bluewater shoppers

There is queuing traffic on the London-bound carriageway of the A2 following an earlier accident.

Police say they were called at 2.49pm today to a three-vehicle collision near Pepperhill, Dartford, and the A296 junction.

No serious injuries were reported, but officers remain at the scene, which is near the turn-off for Bluewater, while the incident is attended to.

The crash initially closed one lane causing congestion back to the Gravesend/Tollgate Services.

All lanes have no re-opened, but National Highways said there is still three miles of congestion and a 20-minute delay.
