The wife of a disabled former serviceman has described how her husband was repeatedly assaulted by a gang in Greenhithe.
Police were called to London Road at the junction with the B255 following reports the 46-year-old, from Dartford, had become embroiled in a dispute with the group of men, who then attacked him.
His wife, who does not wish to be named, said he was knocked over, kicked in the face and then stamped on, and has called on anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist officers with their inquiries.
She said: “My husband is disabled due to complications with a brain tumour operation he had a few years ago, and is also diabetic. He is an ex-RAF soldier.
“He had just had a minor prang with another car and was talking to the other driver. A gang of teenagers started to shout abuse at my husband and one of them came over to him and spat on him.
“The other lads then came over and started hitting him in the back, which knocked him over. They then proceeded to kick him in the face and head, and stamped on his legs and arms.”

The victim was taken to Darent Valley Hospital and is continuing to recover at home.
He described the gang as a group of black teenagers, with the man who spat at him wearing a white tracksuit top and sporting a wispy moustache.
Up to 10 men are believed to have been involved, all of whom fled the scene after a witness called both the police and an ambulance.
