Driver arrested after failing to stop and crashing into roundabout off A2 near Bluewater

A man has been arrested after colliding with a roundabout near Bluewater.

Police tried to stop a vehicle which they thought was suspicious in the Swanley area at around 1.30am this morning.

The vehicle failed to stop, and later it collided with a roundabout off the A2 near Bean.

The driver left the scene on foot but was located after a search.

A 20-year-old man from Erith was arrested on suspicion of theft, driving offences and supplying drugs, and later released pending further inquiries.
