A drug dealer who stabbed a man seven times at a railway station has been jailed for 12 years after police found blades, heroin, and crack cocaine at his home.
Wilfred Saye, 20, attacked the man in his 30s after a dispute over a drug deal they had arranged in a secluded area near Dartford station.
He had travelled to the town by train to sell the drugs on March 31 and met him in Station Approach at around 10.50pm.
When the meeting descended into an argument, Saye, of Howbury Avenue, Erith, stabbed the victim four times to the upper body and three times in the leg.
He then walked away towards the train station, leaving the wounded man bleeding in the street.
The victim, who called 999 to report his injuries, was found bleeding heavily by a man who had just got off the train and was returning home from work.
He took over the phone call and performed first aid on the victim, before being joined by another two men and a police officer.
Within a minute of the 999 call ending an ambulance arrived and took the victim to a London hospital for injuries that were initially feared to be life threatening, but after receiving treatment he was able to leave three days later.
Forensic officers attended the crime scene and found a knife sheath close near the bottom of some stairs, with DNA analysis providing a match for Saye, plus a black plastic bag in a nearby alleyway and a fingerprint matching the offender.
Saye was also captured arriving and leaving the station on CCTV and once he had been identified as the offender officers executed a warrant at his house, where they found five knives in his bedroom, including a two foot long machete and a hunting knife that matched the sheath left at the crime scene.
They also discovered trainers with the victim's blood on, which Saye wore on the night, 86 wraps of heroin, 18 wraps of crack cocaine, resealable bags used for dealing drugs, and scales.
Saye was arrested and charged and today pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and possessing class A drugs with intent to supply at Woolwich Crown Court
He has been sentenced to 12 years imprisonment.
Detective Sergeant Adam Marshall, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: "Saye has shown himself to be a violent offender with a dangerous lack of ability to control himself.
"For all he knew, he had left the victim to die in the street. He showed little remorse for this and continued to live his normal life until he was arrested a month later.
"I welcome the sentence that has been passed by the judge and hope it shows other violent offenders that we will not shy away from using all resources at our disposal to ensure they are brought to justice.
"My officers and I would also like our gratitude to the members of the public who provided vital first aid to the man while he was injured in the street."
