Drugs raids at Dartford YMCA

It wasn't much fun to stay at the YMCA when it was at the centre of a police drugs raid.

Officers arrested four people at the hostel, in Overy Street, Dartford, after executing search warrants at 8am on Tuesday.

They also seized 21 individually wrapped bags of prepared cannabis along with what they called “drugs paraphernalia”.

Two men - a 25-year-old from Dartford and an 18-year-old from Kidbrooke, South East London - were arrested together with two women, both 19, from Dartford and Canterbury, on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

All were taken to North Kent Police Station, in Thames Way, Northfleet, for questioning.
