Dartford's patchy form continued as they allowed a 2-0 lead at 10-man Eastleigh slip to a 2-2 draw in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday.
Dartford started with Jacob Erskine on the bench but began brightly and Danny Harris fired low across the face of goal in the opening minutes.
They took the lead on 28 minutes when the home defence were guilty of a handball in the box which allowed Adam Green to step-up and convert his second goal in as many games from the spot.
The hosts' task was made all the harder when Ian Herring was sent-off for two fouls on Harris in quick succession around the half-hour.
Darts piled forward and Tom Bonner headed over when well-placed before Jon Wallis doubled the lead on 37 minutes, drilling home low through a crowd to put Dartford 2-0 up and firmly in the driving seat.
However the hosts halved the deficit two minutes before the break with a Danny Smith shot which deflected past Louis Wells in the Dartford goal.
Just eight minutes into the second half and the come back was complete as Dartford were guilty of some slack defending and Tom Jordan rose highest to head past Wells.
Tom Champion spurned another decent chance, heading wide from a good Wallis corner and Erskine, Danny Graham and Ryan Hayes were all introduced from the bench as the visitors went for the win.
Hayes went close with a header from a Graham cross in the dying minutes but it finished 2-2 and fourth-place Darts are now eight points behind leaders Woking and five below Welling, who have played a game more than Tony Burman's side.
