A "lucky" man had to be cut from a vehicle after a horrifying crash.
Emergency services attended Bluewater Parkway at 11.15pm last night to free a man who was trapped.
Three fire engines, police, paramedics and air ambulance crew were on the scene.
The car, believed to be a Vauxhall Vectra, became lodged in a barrier between two different road ways
The engine had fallen out of the car and onto the road below, and parts of the barrier had penetrated the car.
Dartford Fire Station crew member Russell Warren said: "He wasn't injured badly, he was a very lucky guy,
"But to look at the vehicle, no one would have got out alive.
"We had to stabilise the vehicle so it didn't fall down on the road below."
The crew from Dartford and Thameside (Gravesend) were on the scene for two and a half hours.
They used hydraulic rescue eqiupment to remove the car's roof and free the man inside.
"It was quite an involved job, but he got out and I am sure he only had a few cuts and bruises."
The man was taken to hospital for treatment with injuries described as serious but not life threatening.
