A BBC cooking show contestant escaped the chop after landing himself in the bottom four in the first episode of the series.
Farmer Trevor Jones lived to see another day in Britain’s Best Home Cook which was aired on Thursday, May 3.
In the first challenge of the episode the cook from Harvel had 90 minutes to serve up a burger made from chuck stake mince and lamb mince, alongside burger cheese which he made.
Following that, Trevor made a chicken korma in his second challenge which resolved around the cooks using nuts as part of a key ingredient in their dish.
Despite his efforts, the farmer was picked to face the elimination round where his skills, along with three others, were put to test by cooking asparaguses hollandaise sauce, poached egg and griddled sourdough.
