A woman died in a horror crash after veering onto the wrong side of a dual-carriageway, an inquest heard.
Susan Robertson died in hospital on Wednesday, January 19, after crashing her Ford B-Max on the A20 London Road in Farningham, near Dartford.
An inquest in Maidstone heard how Ms Robertson, from West Kingsdown, had swayed into an oncoming green Ford Transit at around 5.45pm after a suspected medical episode.
Coroner Roger Hatch explained evidence detailed how the 64-year-old had suffered with diabetes and multiple sclerosis.
A police report of the incident, read out by PC Helen Waghorn, heard evidence from the Ford Transit driver who said Ms Robertson's car "came out of nowhere" and he attempted to brake and swerve, but it was too late.
Hannah Powell was driving behind the blue Ford B-max and explained seeing the car swaying across the central reservation onto the other side of the dual-carriageway.
"It was drifting in lane one and straddled the verge of the grass," she told police.
"I pulled back and beeped my horn when she began to sway and thought the driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel or something."
A report from the force's serious collision team said there were no traces of alcohol or drugs in Ms Robertson's body, and that conditions on the road were dry and dark.
The report revealed Ms Robertson had only been driving with sidelights on, which would have "restricted her view" down the dual-carriageway.
It concluded the crash occurred due to Ms Robertson's driving, but couldn't be certain why she had drifted into oncoming traffic.
Coroner Roger Hatch said he believed the crash happened most likely due to a medical episode, which was backed up by a post-mortem report, and restricted view.
He concluded the death occurred due to a road traffic collision before expressing his condolences to Ms Robertson's family.
