A housing estate could be set to host a possible Netflix thriller after film crews were spotted in the area.
Temple Hill in Dartford is being billed as the setting for a new flick in post-production known as BULL.
Various homes in the town suburb are understood to have been approached by a television company with filming taking place over a three-week period which ended earlier this month.
Letters were sent to some residents in Knights Manor Way to warn them of possible disturbances as a result.
Miroslav Danov and his family were among those to be contacted in the post.
The 40-year-old said: "I only remember that in the letter they said there was going to be police or something like this.
"They told us not to be scared because of that. I was hoping to see some kind of fun – there was going to be police helicopters."
But he added: "There was just cars parking but nothing else."
A sign indicating the drop-off point for deliveries to the film was posted to a car park gate outside St Vincent's Roman Catholic Church's parish centre in Mallard Close.
Mr Danov says he understood this was being used for props and costumes for those taking part.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Temple Hill, Bronte Grove resident Brian Covill says he was approached by a production company about them using his house to shoot scenes for a Netflix film.
He said: "We had a visit from three people about two months ago, they came in and had a look around with a view to using our house for filming.
"They said it would be filming September and October over three weeks, also some parts to be filmed in Tunbridge Wells and Barry Island but they must have found more suitable locations in Dartford than ours."
Other residents reported on social media seeing drivers towing trailers in recent weeks and spotted two people filmed as they were driving.
Precise details of the film and its locations are being kept under wraps but it is understood the piece, known only as BULL at this stage, is expected for release some time next year.
According to the online movie database IMDb , Neil Maskell, of The Football Factory and Kill List fame, is touted to play the title role.
The actor, who joined the cast of Peaky Blinders for series five, used to act and direct at the Miskin Theatre, part of North Kent College in Dartford .
Fellow TV and film actor Dominic Tighe, a graduate of London's Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, is the producer behind the project.
The 37-year-old's acting credits include roles in the ITV mini-series Next of Kin and A Confession, alongside Martin Freeman, as well as BBC's Call the Midwife and Disney's Mary Poppins Returns.
In 2016, he set up film and television company Giant Productions and produced the BAFTA and Academy Award long-listed short film Mdudu Boy.
It's not the first time Dartford has been scouted as a filming location recently with the Dartford Crossing providing the backdrop for this year's Sky Atlantic series Gangs of London, as well as previously being used to shoot scenes for the Harry Potter movie franchise.
Nearer to the town itself, Bate’s Yard in West Hill was once host to a scene in the hit E4 comedy series Inbetweeners where the potty-mouthed teen Jay Cartwright crashes a motorbike.
