Firefighters were called to a street after an electric car “suspiciously” caught alight.

Two fire engines attended the scene in Kirby Road, Dartford last night (February 26).

Crews were alerted to the incident at 7.48pm.

They put out the blaze using hose reel jets and the flames were extinguished by 9.12pm.

No injuries have been reported.

The fire service says the cause of the fire is being treated as suspicious.
