Two people have been rushed to hospital after a suspected stabbing at a mental health centre.
Police were called to Bracton Lane in Dartford following reports of a disturbance at 11.52am. It is believed the incident took place at the Bracton Centre, which is run by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
The victims "received serious injuries consistent with a stabbing" and were taken to King's College Hospital in London, with two air ambulances spotted taking off from nearby Bexley Park at just after 12.30pm.
The air ambulance mission reports reveal that both victims were male. One suffered injuries to his chest, stomach and upper arm, the other to his upper and lower arm, lower leg, chest and stomach.
One man is in custody after being arrested in connection with the incident and police are not looking for any other suspects. One witness said some of the officers were armed.
She reported seeing a man being walked out of the centre "in his pants, handcuffed and surrounded by armed police".
Three fire engines were called to the same address to reports of a fire at around the same time. The blaze was extinguished within half an hour and a pressure fan was used to clear the smoke.
It is not yet known what caused the fire and police have not confirmed if the incidents are related.
