Six fire engines were sent to a huge blaze on heathland near a main road.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service said approximately 300 square metres of grass was alight at Dartford Heath, just off the A2 at Dartford.
Fire crews were called to the blaze at about 3.50pm.
A spokesman said six fire engines and an all-terrain vehicle were sent.
"There are no reported injuries and the cause isn’t yet known," they added.
Kent Police Dartford tweeted to say the fire was "under control" but members of the public were being advised to stay clear of the area.
