An ongoing police operation has led to firearms officers sent to properties around north Kent in the last few days.

A police spokesman confirmed there has been an ongoing operation, which has involved several warrants being executed by armed police around the Dartford area.

The operation has been in force since Friday.

A police spokesman said it would be "inappropriate to comment further" while enquiries continued.
