Firefighters have rushed to battle a fire on Dartford Heath - the second to ravage the grassy area in two days.
Crews were called to a grass fire on the open land at about 3.30pm.
Three fire engines were scrambled to tackle the blaze, which had spread to about 22m sq of heathland.
Firefighters used beaters and a water jet to extinguish the fire, and the incident was under control by about 4.10pm.
It comes after another fire broke out on Dartford Heath at about the same time yesterday.
The cause of both fires are unknown, but they are not being treated as suspicious.
The fire service urges anyone who spots a fire in the countryside to report it as soon as possible, giving as much detail on the location so that it can be dealt with before it spreads.
