Four fire engines were called to Fawkham Road in Longfield to a bungalow fire

Firefighters have tackled a blaze at a bungalow in Longfield this afternoon.

Four fire engines were called to Fawkham Road in Longfield at 12:30pm.

Wearing breathing apparatus, crews used two hose reels, two covering jets, a hydrant and cold cutting equipment to tackle the blaze which was located in the roof.

The fire was out by 1pm but crews remain at the scene damping down and carrying out salvage work.
