A woman has been taken to hospital after a fire in a ground floor flat in Dartford.
Crews were called to Dunlop Close just before 9.30am after plumes of smoke were seen coming from the flat.
Firefighters searched the property as it was initially believed that people were still inside, but that was not the case.
The woman was treated by paramedics for shock and smoke inhalation at the scene before she was taken to hospital.
There are no reports of any other injuries.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
A police spokesman added: "No suspicious circumstances have been reported at this stage."
