The newly-refurbished McDonald's in Greenhithe has reopened for business, along with its new drive-thru.
The fast-food chain, in London Road, has kept customers waiting after opening seven weeks after building work was originally due to finish.
It now boasts its own drive thru, with discrete video-menu screens, a new patio area for outdoor dining and a complete modernised indoor refurbishment.
The unveiling comes after plans to renovate the restaurant and create a drive-thru were met with fierce opposition when they were first introduced in 2018.
Councillors and residents feared an increase in litter and pollution with fumes from queuing cars.
Others were concerned it would give off a "cluttered and urbanised appearance" to the neighbouring St Mary's Church as well as bringing an increase in traffic to the already-busy nearby roundabout.
After the plans were amended to include fences and foliage to hide illuminated screens, along with the promise of daily litter patrols, the new proposals were approved.
The branch opens 6am to midnight every day.
