The Priory Shopping Centre was abuzz with busy green fingered youngsters planting and decorating posy pots for their mums ahead of Mother’s Day.

Eighty children joined in the fun, with Priory Flowers providing the plants.

Centre manager Shelley Filippi said: “This was such a lovely bright community event to be involved with.

“It was lovely to see the creativeness of the children and the delight on the mums’ faces when presented with their posy.

“Photographs of the youngsters with their plants and decorated pots will be uploaded to the centre’s Facebook page for everyone to like and share."

She added: “The picture with the most likes will win a £50 hamper for that mum.”
