Flyaway bald eagle back home

A MISSING bald eagle which escaped from a bird of prey centre in Kent on Sunday has been found safe about 35 miles away.

Alaska was discovered in a tree in the garden of a property near Faversham.

She was coaxed down by a bird of prey handler from the Eagle Heights centre in Eynsford, near Dartford, where she lives.

The centre said it had received a number of calls about reported sightings. the bird was found at about 4pm on Monday.

Her owners, Sally and Alan Ames, say they are delighted to get her back safe and well.
