A YouTuber has filmed himself and his friends climbing onto the roof of one of the UK’s biggest shopping centres.
Urban explorer Chichiatube and his pals bypassed security and clambered up the stairs before running around the domed ceiling and peering over a food court at Bluewater in Greenhithe.
In a disclaimer for the video he claims they group are trained professionals and warns others against replicating their antics.
Bluewater is treating the incident as trespass and says it has referred the matter to its on-site security team.
Explaining the inspiration behind the video, Chichiatube, who is disguised with a hat and mask, said: “I like the freedom I get from being able to look at the views that only I and a few others get to experience more than a normal person would.
“I enjoy the adrenaline rush I get from getting chased from security which makes me feel alive afterwards and in the moment.”
In one part the YouTuber and his friends can be seen walking along the ceiling above a food court area where shoppers are dining below.
Chichiatube said he manages to infiltrate forbidden areas of buildings such as Bluewater by wearing a hi-vis and “just acting confident like I'm supposed to be on the site”.
He says he has has used this “trick” to climb around London, Birmingham, Kent and France including famous landmarks in the capital such as Bishopsgate and Canary Wharf.
When asked whether his antics have got him in trouble before, he said: “I have been chased by security and police but no crime has been committed except for trespassing, which is a civil matter.”
A spokesperson for Bluewater said: “We don't condone the activity displayed in this video, which endangers the safety of those involved and is also a trespassing offence.
“We take security very seriously and have referred this matter to our on-site police.”
