Elliot Bradbrook scored twice as Dartford moved above Forest Green with victory in Gloucestershire on Tuesday night.
The result means the Darts will end this season as the top-ranked part-time club in England. With Braintree Town and Woking both dropping points elsewhere, neither can overhaul the Darts on the final day of the season.
A scrambled effort from Danny Harris put the visitors ahead at The New Lawn after eight minutes and things got better midway through the first half when Ryan Hayes was chopped down in the box. Bradbrook (pictured) drilled home the resulting penalty kick.
Forest Green were reduced to 10 men when Eddie Oshodi was sent-off for a crude lunge on Hayes. The home side looked to respond but they found on-loan Darts keeper Csaba Somogyi in good form.
Chris Stokes did pull a goal back three minutes after the restart although Bradbrook restored Dartford’s two-goal advantage on 52 minutes.
Rovers struck again through Jamie Turley, 11 minutes from time, but the visitors held on for a win which lifted them up to seventh in Blue Square Bet Premier.
